Best Personal Quote: “That’s what college is all about…big, blue balls.” (about a yoga ball…we think)
Bio: Evan grew up in northern California, where the skies are still blue and nobody stays up past 5:30pm. He began singing in high school, and was given a keyboard as a graduation present. After teaching himself to play ever so slowly, Evan developed his songwriting prowess alongside Nick Giordano’s guitar grooves. Evan is a workaholic who spends most of his time working as a Community Ambassador, planning the future of the band, playing music, organizing volunteers in Oakland, or writing. Oh, and sometimes sleeping. Evan likes to think of himself as a hopeless romantic, lush, and tortured genius, but we’re pretty sure only the second one is true. He often has to be resuscitated after shows, due to the violence of his stage spasms (the medical term is “rocking out”). He likes cats, but is allergic to them. Figures.

Message To Leave You With: “If you’re going to cheat in life, don’t make it obvious-that’s just sad.”
Bio: Nick grew up in California somewhere, raised by bears who thought he was one of them because of his abundance of hair. After the bears realized he was a human and tried to eat him, Nick entered society. He played baseball for much of his young life, trying to recapture the visceral feeling of the wilderness. Finally, he found solace in the guitar, and began his journey to capture the love of society through song. After attending college at UCSC, Nick remained in Santa Cruz, knowing one day he would find the other half to his guitar talents. He spends his days yelling at children (for money!) and his nights obsessing over the band (for no money!). Nick has a big heart, but he’s bigger than most people anyway, so that’s kind of a given.

Quote: “For a jerk, I’m pretty nice”
Bio: Annie was raised in San Jose and as a model Asian girl, learned how to play piano. However, she hated the amount of practice required to be good at piano and can only play about 4 songs today (not counting Chopsticks or Fur Elise). She later got sucked into the band nerd world in junior high and high school, learned how to play the bass guitar and trumpet, and was part of a high school garage band. She and the garage band members thought they were one of those awesome live bands, until they heard a recording of one of their live gigs and realized they just didn’t sound very good at all. After noodling in a jazz combo during her years at USC, Annie hid from the music playing world. You can call it a long hibernation. After quitting her 55hr/wk job, she stumbled onto the craigslist posting for MANM, auditioned, and ended up getting her bio on this website.

Quote To Live By: “Never tell me the odds.” – Han Solo
Bio: Tyler was raised in Santa Cruz, California. Although he was raised in the company of surfers and stoners, Tyler always possessed a manic-fidgety quality that fit in poorly with his company. One day he was placed in front of a drum set and learned that his seemingly random flailing was passable as music in front of this strange contraption. After playing around Santa Cruz for a time with the group Void Where Prohibited, Tyler moved to attend college at UC Berkeley where he was brainwashed by crazy hippies and fed nothing but corn meal once a day – according to friends, this caused no notable change to his personality. Eventually, he was forced to graduate with a degree in History and in Film Studies, as well as a minor in theater.

Armed with two degrees that provided no potential for any sort of money, Tyler was released into the world, and began trying to make money through film, theater, and music. This speaks poorly of Tyler’s intelligence.
